Our client, an iGaming company, is looking to recruit a Legal Counsel to join our team in Malta. The position will be based in Malta and will report to the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities:- Create, implement, and enforce policies and procedures per legal requirements.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes.
- Advise stakeholders on mitigating legal risks across jurisdictions.
- Manage regulatory reporting, audits, and authority interactions.
- Oversee customer/affiliate terms and resolve disputes.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Handle contract management.
- Assist with corporate structure changes.
- Advise on data protection, supporting the DPO as needed.
- Assist with regulatory licensing applications.
- Ensure marketing compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and manage external legal services.
- Support bank account openings and closures.
Requirements:- Be a lawyer with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience working in-house and/or within a reputable law firm.
- Be a good project manager and an excellent communicator with proven interpersonal skills.
- Show outstanding leadership skills to lead a dynamic team.
- Be proficient in business English.
- Have excellent drafting skills.
- Be of the utmost integrity.
