We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Investment Manager to join our client's team as a key player in driving investment growth and building lasting relationships within the venture capital space. This role involves managing deal negotiations from inception to closure, expanding the network to source new opportunities, and providing strategic support to portfolio companies.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of venture capital experience, a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, and strong analytical skills, including financial modeling. If you are a collaborative, creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Manage deal negotiations from start to finish, with a focus on building strong relationships and showcasing sales expertise;
• Expand and diversify the network to source a variety of investment opportunities;
• Oversee and manage existing investments, ensuring continued growth and success;
• Lead in-depth market research and due diligence efforts;
• Quickly develop expertise in specific sectors, adapting to new industries and emerging trends;
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with founders and operators in the startup ecosystem;
• Provide post-investment support to portfolio companies, acting as a strategic advisor and primary contact for founders.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in venture capital;
• In-depth knowledge of the startup ecosystem and market trends;
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and cap table analysis;
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships;
• A curious and creative mindset for problem-solving;
• Collaborative, hardworking, and a team player;
• Proficiency in English (German is a plus);
• Must be able to work in Malta.
