Responsibilities
- Leading a team of accounting professionals
- Planning the accounting, tax and audit liaison work
- Managing the completion of deliverables, within set timeframes
- Mentoring team members to develop further skills and capabilities
- Assisting the team where necessary
- Serving as the technical “go to” person for the Board, team, and clientele
- Taking responsibility for a select portfolio of clients including accounting, VAT, income tax
- Establishing training needs to keep abreast with technical developments
- Drafting management accounts and financial statements
- Undertaking ancillary duties and ad hoc projects, as may be required
Requirements
- Five years’ experience in an accounting environment, of which at least two years’ experience in Corporate Services
- Experience in the preparation of IFRS and GAPSME financial statements, both standalone and consolidated
- Experience in dealing with local tax reporting, including tax returns refunds, NID calculations
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- Fluency in English
