KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure reconciliations for bank accounts, suppliers and commissions earned are done correctly by other team members;
Coordination of payment runs and processing where necessary;
Process accounting entries for our Expense Claim System across the Group as well as maintain ownership and reference point for such system;
Reconcile ongoing and initial commission to expectations where necessary.
Reconcile prepayments and accruals lists on an ongoing basis;
Pass accounting adjustments up to trial balance stage;
Liaise directly with Accountants in other countries we operate;
Prepare management accounts for group small companies if required;
Prepare reports for Middle Management on a monthly basis in terms of actual vs budget spend;
Involvement in Audits for some of the group companies;
Ensure that all audit work papers are filed accordingly;
Any other day to day tasks for the smooth running of the department;

KEY COMPETENCIES:
A-Level in Accounts
Initial stages of ACCA qualification (or equivalent) will be considered an Asset;
Proficient in English and Maltese;
Experience in financial services in a similar position;
Shireburn Accounting Software knowledge will be considered an asset
Must be adept with Excel functionalities, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, as well as formulas, to generate, interpret, and present financial data efficiently.
