  • Reviewing and monitoring compliance with local and international regulatory

  • Providing compliance guidance and advice.
  • Conducting periodic compliance quality checks and monitoring, including but not limited to risk assessments to identify any gaps and recommend the necessary corrective actions or best practices to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Reviewing and monitoring compliance with local and international regulatory requirements including the Malta Pensions Rules.
  • Providing compliance guidance and advice. Dealing with day to day or ad-hoc requests and enquiries received from internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory and law enforcement authorities.
  • Participating in and leading compliance related activities and oversight work including the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures and remediation work.
  • Assist on data protection matters that may arise, including dealing and coordinating data subject access requests, maintain the requests register, and ensure that the regulatory time frames are respected.
  • Drive the management of complaint handling, ensuring timely investigation, professional resolution and reporting.
  • Analyse complaints trends to identify root causes and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate, appropriate, and consistent records of all complaints.

Skills Required:
  • 2+ years of experience in compliance, quality assurance, or a related role in a regulated industry.
    • Previous work experience in the Pensions sector and knowledge of pension processes and procedures and regulatory requirements would be considered an advantage.
    • Established experience in managing complaint handling.
    • Exceptional research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Well organised, flexible, and able to prioritise key tasks and focus on delivering them under pressure.
    • Strong and effective communication skills – verbal and written.
    • Influencing and negotiation skills.
    • Highly enthusiastic and positive attitude individual with a strong work ethic.
Experience and Knowledge: The ideal candidate will ideally have worked in the Financial Services Industry for at least 3 years. Knowledge in Regulatory Compliance and AML Legislation is required.
