Our client, a multiregulated broker with offices in Bucharest, Cyprus, UAE and more, is seeking an experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead their global operations. They are looking for a data-driven, strategic leader with a strong background in managing fintech functions smoothly with excellent departmental coordination skills .The ideal candidate will have experience in digital-first industries (e-commerce, fintech, SaaS, or high-growth tech sectors) and must be able to align teams, streamline processes, and drive operational efficiency.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to reside or move to Bucharest, Romania.
Duties and responsibilities: - Oversee company operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and growth objectives.
- Overseeing the company’s budgeting processes, ensuring efficient allocation of resources in alignment with business strategies.
- Implementing cost-control measures, along with the ability to report on financial performance and make data-backed recommendations for improvement.
- Redefining workflows and operational processes across the organization, ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of business strategies.
- Analyzing and interpreting data across marketing, sales, administration, and customer behavior to guide strategy.
- Understanding an mapping out the customer journey adding suggestions and action towards the wider group strategy and to lead the client journey throughout all departments involved.
- Monitoring marketing teams and product teams to focus on customer-centric improvements and innovation.
- Implementing KPIs to monitor performance amongst several teams and functions.
- Managing and developing large high-performing teams by optimizing organizational structures and ensuring effective talent management.
Experience and skills needed: - A proven track record in a COO or equivalent role within the forex industry will be ideal. Related fintech can be considered but clear advantage will be given to a candidate with experience from the CFD industry.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Extensive experience in managing budgets, process improvements, and team dynamics.
- An innovative approach to enhancing marketing and product strategies in a fast-evolving market.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with a focus on collaboration and cross-departmental synergy.
- Evidence of successful team development and leadership initiatives that cultivated a positive organizational culture will be important.
- Evidence of prior success in utilizing KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive strategic initiatives.
- Must be based in Bucharest or willing to relocate there.
- Extensive knowledge of the English language is a must
