Job Overview Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Malta, is seeking an experienced Finance Business partner to oversee the financial operations of the company. The selected candidate will report directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for managing a mid-sized team within the finance department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute strategically to the company's financial stability and growth.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with local regulations.
- Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to support business continuity.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within financial processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis to the Finance Director and senior management.
Requirements - Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial legislation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with senior management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
