KYC/CDD Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Main duties will be related to the KYC/CDD/EDD reviews.
1. KYC/CDD Periodic Reviews

Conduct KYC and CDD periodic reviews for existing clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Liaising with clients and financial advisors to source information and documentation.

Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk customers, including politically exposed persons and high-risk jurisdictions.

Analyse and verify client information, including source of wealth/funds, and screening.

Identify and escalate any potential financial crime risks or red flags.

Collect and maintain CDD/EDD documentation in line with requirements.

MI reporting.
2. Client Screening and Risk Assessment

Conduct client screening against sanctions lists, watchlists, and adverse media databases.

Assess and document potential matches and escalate findings as appropriate.

Support the remediation and resolution of screening alerts and false positives.


Skills Required
 
Strong research and analytical skills to assess financial crime risks.

Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidelines to practical scenarios.

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in using KYC screening tools.
Experience and Knowledge

2+ years of experience in an AML-related role within banking, financial services, or fintech.

Experience conducting CDD and EDD and working with high-risk clients is essential.

Strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulatory frameworks and local compliance requirements
